I've never been one to get a head start on my Christmas cards, but I have to admit that I was really motivated once I bought this stamp set. I love the simplicity of the set, as well as the fact that it is available in clear mount. I find it so much easier to line up images using the clear blocks and the clear mount stamps. They also take up less space in my craft room, which is definitely a bonus in my tiny space. If you're wondering what clear mount stamps are all about, check out
this link for more information. Don't worry thought - Stampin' Up! will continue to offer a choice between clear mount and traditional wooden mount.
Anyway, I wanted to make things pop a little on these Christmas cards, so I pulled out some old retired buttons from Stampin' Up! to replace the stamped decorations on the tree. I love the way that it turned out and while the buttons add a fair amount of depth, the card can still be sent by regular mail. I'll post another variation on this one in the next couple of days using the Basic Rhinestone Jewels that I've fallen in love with! :)
